Delete your Zena account and data
Zena is made by Primaeyu, LLC. You can delete your account and all your data at any time, right in the app.
Delete in the app
Open Zena and go to Profile
It’s the last tab at the bottom of the screen.
Tap Delete account
You’ll find it at the bottom, under Account.
Confirm
Zena asks once more: “This permanently deletes your account and all your data. This cannot be undone.” Tap Delete.
Prove it’s you
Sign in with Apple or Google again, or enter your password. This keeps anyone else from deleting your account.
That’s it. Zena deletes your data and signs you out.
Have a subscription? Cancel it first. Deleting your account doesn’t stop Apple or Google from billing you.
Cancel in App Store subscriptions or Google Play subscriptions.
Can’t open the app?
Email primaeyu@gmail.com from the email address on your Zena account, with the subject “Delete my Zena account”. If you signed in with Apple and hid your email, tell us that, and we’ll help you confirm it’s you.
We’ll confirm by email once your account and data are deleted.
What we delete
- Your sign-in account (email, or your Apple or Google sign-in link)
- Your food diary, planned food, water, exercise and notes
- Your goals, goal history and day types
- Your body profile, measurements and vitals (weight, body fat, glucose, ketones and more)
- Your foods, meals, recent foods and shopping list
- Your settings, and any food photos from older versions of the app
This happens right away in our live database. If backups exist, the deleted data is removed from them as they are replaced on their normal schedule.
What we keep, and why
- Purchase records. Apple or Google, and our payment partner RevenueCat, keep records of purchases for billing, tax and fraud prevention. They’re linked to an account ID, not to your name or your diary.
- App analytics and crash reports. Collected by Google Firebase without your name or what you log. They expire on Firebase’s own schedule.
- Apple Health. Data Zena wrote to Apple Health stays on your iPhone. Delete it in the Health app if you want.
- Emails you sent us. Kept so we can answer you. Ask, and we’ll delete them too.
Want to delete only some data? Delete entries in the app, or email us. More in our privacy policy.
